While our products are most typically used for the control and capture of free-ranging ranch-raised exotics, Pneu-Dart, Inc. makes a product to handle every target situation, even from inside a helicopter!

Don't make me turn this helicopter around!

I have to say that I am a little shocked at the responces to this... I dont believe that any child should be tazered(if the child had a gun and was shooting at people or something, thats a different story)...If you are a grown man with a gun and a tazer you should b able to subdue a 10 year old with no problems. especially if there are two "highly trained"police officers present....Secondly, This child may have some sort of autism, downsyndrome, or some other physical/mental issue, if that is true, that makes this case 10 times worse than what it is...ANd lets face it.....If someone tazered my 10 year old child & slapped them, I'd be pretty ticked off, especially when there are so many other ways to handle it.....Imagine a complete stranger walkin up to your kid, tazering him, then slappin him, becuase he didnt like the way he was acting...Outrageous to me....sorry, i was just a little shocked by the responces..Just MO....

I am not condoning the actions of the police officers, but I have had encounters with an unruly brat or two in my day such that if I had a taser in my hand at the time, I would have been sorely tempted....

That punk kid needed his attention got.....20KV stun gun will sure do that.
I've been hit by two different models....neither were devistating but I don't recommend it on a daily basis.
It's more disorenting than directly painful. It'l scramble your eggs long enough for the cops to get the cuffs on without hurting the suspect or getting hurt themselves.
I got hit because of the security training I get often. You're not allowed to use a stun gun unless you've been hit by them. Stupid rule to me because you're not required to be shot to carry a gun....

OK, so they stunned the kid. Big deal, 30 seconds later the kid is in custody, and restraigned, no one gets hurt.
Imagine the bad press if they got 6 officers to bum rush the kid, do a Georgia takedown, fight and scratch to get him cuffed and either he or the officers get something broken and some fool gets it on video?

Remember those things have a trigger, If it only takes one second of shock to stop him they release the trigger. If it takes more, they hold the trigger longer.
The last time I got hit It took a little more than 6 seconds to put me down. but I was standing there, expecting it, braced, and I already knew what it was like so I was prepared. I was still nausious for a few hours and sore for a day or two.

Anyway, I applaud the officers.
