how will you know if a male is trying to mate with a female.
my duck i think is trying to mate because he runs towards the other ducks(younger ducks) randomly(unexpected) but doesnt bite the neck and stuff he just runs and i think the other ducks reject him by opening their mouth and then he gets scared.

if he's trying to mate, he'll usually climb on them. Sounds like he's just is working out his status in the flock.

yehh but mine doesnt go on top he just runs (even if they are close) to the other ducks
i think he doesnt know how to mate is that possible?

How old is he? They will start to fight over dominance before they start to mate. I suppose it's possible a guy could be born with some sort of mixed-up genes missing the mating instinct, but it seems unlikely to me. Mating is purely instinctual in ducks and when he gets his breeding hormones it will be quite obvious. In the mean time, he's just figuring out his place in life.

the male duck is 6 months the other ducks is 4 months i think
i bought a female duck but im not sure the age is he is trying to follow her
and is move his head up and down i know it means its trying to do mating but he
just doesnt grab the neck and go on top of her
and every time he runs to the other ducks he spills the water UGH!
