Hi everyone! Long time no post

I've been collecting and saving my OEGB eggs, and I've finally got enough to hatch, and (woohoo) one of my hens has gone broody. Kind of a stupid question, but it's my Barred Rock hen that's broody. Because the hatched chicks are going to be so small and my BO hen is one of my biggest hens, is it going to be okay to let her hatch and take care of the chicks or should I wait a few more days and see if one of my OEGB hens starts to brood? (One of them has been acting a little strange, trying to pile up eggs and rocks, but not in the nest box. I think it'd be easy to get her to set) Any opinions?

I had a Buff Orpington cross hatch a bantam cochin under her with some standard size chicks. she did okay.

heres the pictures from the thread I had

Those sure are cute chicks.

I am lucky with my chickens, I get all kinds of colors. Makes it fun.
