So I have a question for my own curiosity...

If you have a roo in with your hens how do you know that they eggs the hens are laying are fertile, and good hatching eggs?

Besides seeing the obvious naughty thing & and waiting to candle them...

Where there are roosters there will be fertile eggs. I have NEVER seen an inactive roo...EVER. Old ones are slower...but still...

i have 3 milli fleur cochin pullets 8 months old and 1 milli fleur cochin rooster same age. they have laid about 50 eggs so for and not 1 has been fertile yet. my other eggs all young ckickens black rose combs, silver spangle hamburgs, black coopper marans. red bourbon turkey eggs are about 95% fertile. i have seen him breed all of them many times but its not working. have anybody ever seem this
