Stupid toilet problem.....

When it's time for a new toilet, get a high volume one. They have a larger throat and can flush the really big loads. It saves money because you can let the days droppings accumulate and just flush one a day. we love ours. Those valves are easy.

teehee! there's been other strange things over the last few years, makes you wonder.....I came home one day and before I even closed the front door the TV in the front room went on and really LOUD too! I went over and pushed the button to turn it off. No sooner did I turn around and the TV went on again. We played this game four more times til hubby turned the switch off on the wall and that ended it.

I don't even want to talk about the sprinkler system.

In the last 30 years or so, I can't count the number of times I have bought something that simply DID NOT WORK. I went through 3 cooking stoves to get one that was even acceptably functional.

They are selling us junk, IMHO.

Used to be you could go buy a toilet or toaster or hair dryer and that was the end of it. Maybe not ideal, but did the job. No more.

Consumer's Report is a big help, but not up to the onslaught of garbage for sale out there. But it has become a necessity for any purchase over about $40, IMHO.

So disheartening.

My potty flushes sometimes when there is no one in there. Replaced all the guts and it still does it..........I wish I had a more interesting ghost! Micah

The almighty profit margin. Can't make a competitive product that will sell and still make a big profit margin. Wal Mart put an end to quality, when they started selling cheap cheap. Home Depot and Lowes are right there with them. Wal Mart got the ball rolling and now quality is difficult to find at any price.
