Ours has had them in for about a month I didn't like the selection so i got mine from Orscherlins my chicks are about ready to find a farm home they're out growing my brooder and the 2 white giants are killing me on feed (espeicially the pullet, she spoons as much feed into the bedding as all six combined can eat.)

Seriously annoying. now we have to 'accidently' go back tomorrow...

I had to send my DH for feed. I have January's and February's hatches moved into the coop. March's hatch in the basement. Tonight is lockdown.

24 eggs being delivered in a few days. 25 chicks ordered from John Blehm coming in 20 days.

I wouldn't want to accidently buy 1 more - oh no - in NY you must buy 6. I wonder if they have any dyed ones?

I have 9 on auction. Buy them, so I feel less guilty about my addiction!

I called ours today, since last week they told me the chicks would be in the beginning of this week. Today they said they got bantams in. I went running down there and all they got in was 50 or so Silkies. I am guessing they were all Whites and Buffs. I bought 8, but I was sort of dissapointed, I was hoping to get more variety and more chicks. Last year they got 200 at a time and had tons of different colors & breeds. I sure hope whichever hatchery they ordered from is planning on sending a lot more, 50 chicks will barely last the day there.

I might have to drive to neighboring towns this weekend and see what their TSCs still have left.

had a big bright sign outside "live chicks and Ducklings!" so we went in... and they didn't have them yet. Seriously annoying. now we have to 'accidently' go back tomorrow...

I have 12 cochins coming in a week, 12 hatching in 2 weeks, and I want to stake out TSC for more! DH is mad at me for bringing in so many germs... which is true, but I keep them all in quarantine for like, 2 weeks AFTER they leave the brooder...
