I made an incubator out of a styrafoam ice chest. Was to hot and not humid enough. 120° and 10% humidity. Needless to say I lost my chicks. Help me fix it please. I used a 15 watt light bulb.Chest of very small.

The small ones are really hard to get to work right. Did you add a dimmer or a thermastat youll really need to. Im shure someone will come along that will be more help .

I had the same problem, I used a light dimmer, and did dry incubating until lockdown. I put THREE thermometers, because none of the are accurate !! so I compared it to adjust the temperature. Keep it away from sun light. Good luck !

I lowered the wattage and covered some of my holes. With a 4 watt bulb it brought temp down to 90°. And the humidity came up to 25%.So I'm thinking that if I get a 10 watt bulb and keep the holes taped that I should be where I need to be.
