styrofoam or cardboard for hatching shipped eggs

Hi i have shipped eggs going into hatching, day 18 i have cut a styrofoam egg carton and placed them in the incubator for hatching , have seen some posts with success with styrofoam , although i saw a post saying chemicals can leach out of the styrofoam has anyone had success hatching eggs in styrofoam cartons as i had wonky air cells so thought this method best. i look forward to your comments.
