I have a well fed pond. I pull the submerged weeds and compost. There is a lot of life in the pond weeds exe. Shrimp, minnows
I am thinking about putting some of the submerged weed harvest in my chicken run for them to forage and wondering the pros and cons? I welcome all thoughts.

I don't see any problem arising from your chickens scratching thru that.
I have no idea what the green weeds are, and if the chickens would munch on those. Chickens pretty much know what tastes good to them....
When they are done scratching, move remainder to your compost. :idunno
WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and :welcome

I have a well fed pond.
Curious what this is..."well fed"...like fed from a well ...or...?
Vegetation pulled from ground, under water or not, can be gorged on unto crop impaction.
Best to have leaves easily bitten off in small pieces.
What plants are you talking about?
Been looking at the duck weed growing in my pondsai.....thinking chooks might enjoy some.
