Submissive squat

My 15 week old ( age not known for sure, but when I got her, from a local feed store, she fit the description of a week old chick) white leghorn just did a submissive squat when I went to pick her up. My understanding is that she is getting close to laying her first egg. Right now she is still on grower feed, but should I start layer pellets or wait till she's 18 weeks. The other two hens, a RIR also about 15 weeks and a ploish sliver lace bantam whose about 14 weeks, haven't shown any signs. I also have not introduced oyster shells yet because of their age. Would love some advise.

Oh boy! I bet you are excited for those eggs! Yes, the egg squat is a sign that they are entering the laying age. But, wait to feed layer feed until 18 weeks.
