I started with 41 eggs.

I have 14 cute chicks, mostly black & yellow.

13 Chicks never pipped

11 eggs that were sterile or just plain bad.

3 Guinea eggs still to go.

I know what some of my errors were. When I candled them I dont think I got them all back in the turner correctly. I guess we learn from our mistakes. I buried the 13 chicks, couldnt bring myself to trash em.

Isn't incubating fun? I too buried my first batch of unhatched eggs - couldn't bring myself to open them - couldn't bring myself to trash them either. I had been candling them and they had been moving up till a few days before hatch.

Enjoy your new chicks.

It will be alright, You will get more eggs and you will hatch them......... I feel sorry for the little guys that don't make it..... better luck on your next batch

Congrats on your babies. Sorry about your non-pippers. I know that's a hard thing to face. Hang in there and try agian.
