Success treating severe sour crop!

Just sharing I had a hen who was very sick with sour crop. Would not eat so I couldn’t give the Miconazole orally. BUT I had success giving it to her by placing it on her vent. I placed about 2 pea size at her vent & she would contract it into herself. Once per day. Saw marked improvement day 1. Improved daily with reduced liquid in crop felt on palpation. Day 5 no liquid, eating normally & small hard crop developing again. Recommend 4-6 days treatment. Kept her in a small crate at night in the garage to give her isolated rest. Free ranges during the day.
