Yesterday I had one of my California Valley quail that didnt make it. This morning i saw a little hole in another egg and watched him zip around the shell and pop out in what seemed like seconds.
He is trying to stand and is so cute. He stands up, wobbles a bit then lays down to rest. He moved himself over to another egg that has a tiny hole in it and thats where he is laying now. Maybe he hears the chirping from his buddy. LOL

He doesn't need food or water in there does he? He's still pretty sleepy seems like. Tries to stand then lays down and rests. OMG is this normal?

Congratulations Mom! All sounds like normal behavior. No food or water needed for at least 24 hours. Love to see it once it's all fluffed up!

Another one is chirrping like crazy and I just saw a piece of the shell lift.

Second one hatched. First one ran over and layed his head across his back and went to sleep.

I only had 5. One died yesterday, these two hatched this morning and there are two more that jumped around in a float test. Hopefully they hatch.
