I hatched out my first successful quail hatch- from shipped eggs.
Stats:
14/16 hatched
87.5% hatch rate
1 failure to progress around day 10
1 failure to make it out of the shell (upon eggtopsy if the chick had hatched it would have had to be culled as it had deformities ( external organs)
Of the 14 chicks I have one case of spraddle leg. This is the first time I've ever encountered this (generally I hatch chickens). So I have the quail in a cup getting some PT.
Overall this was an excellent hatch with shipped eggs.
