I had posted here sometime in the last two weeks about integrating my two new silkies into my flock. I had ended up making their own run, and a makeshift coop so they could see them without getting attacked.
We got dumped by a lot of rain for the first time since having chickens, and the coop area was flooding. So yesterday, I had to move the coop. Had all the chickens free ranging while taking apart the coop and getting it and the run together, and the silkies were with the rest of the flock with no issues. Since it seemed to be going well, I decided to just use the fencing from the silkies run to expand the main run (my husband is loving how much space I've claimed just for chickens )
There was some henpecking once they were in the run, but honestly no aggression like before. The silkies have been remaining with the flock wherever they go as well.
Thank you guys for the advice!
