Successful Petitions, Variance Requests and Ordinance/Law Changes?

Hello!

I was wondering if people could post copies of, or links to, whatever documents that they have used to successfully change the laws or ordinances of their community to allow backyard chickens. This would include successful petition wording, variance wording and enacted law or ordinance changes. It also needs to include "how to" information on how to go about initiating these changes. It seems to me that this thread could then be moved to a sticky that would be help others with information on how to start their own movements to change their local laws. This would be an informal "Idiot's Guide" to changing chicken law.
