Successful surgery for Salpingitis or cyst?

We have a very sweet 3-yr old Barred Rock hen that has the symptoms of severe salpingitis or an abdominal cyst. We found a lash egg a while back, and through the process of elimination with the rest of the flock, we believe it’s her. We’ve had chickens over the last 10 or so years.

She stopped laying sometime over the winter. She was acting normally until a few days ago, except her obvious waddle, even with her hard swelled abdomen. Her comb is just now showing shrinkage and coloring distress, and she’s been hunched over. Still eating, drinking, engaging, and moves quicker for treats. Eyes open and clear. No respiratory issues. It’s not ascites or EYP. We’ve done everything we know to do ourselves, but our interventions have proven ineffective.

She has a strong will to live, and we really want to save her if it’s possible. Has anyone ever had a successful surgery done in this scenario, for either a cyst or salpingitis? We’re heavily weighing how to proceed, and to what ends justify the means, as heartbreaking as this is.

Thank you in advance.

As far as I know, there's no surgery for a chronic reproductive infection. But you should find a certified avian vet and consult with them.

Another option is treating the possible salpingitis with an antibiotic, but it's usually ineffective.
