so about a week and a half ago one of my barred rocks got her tailfeather pulled too hard and it bled a few drips and the others went nutso on her! i happened to be watching the whole fuss and saw it happen, so after washing the pink off her feathers and seeing no visible injury (just a teensy drip of blood at the base of one tailfeather), i separated her into a small box for the day (i was going to be gone until after dark and did not want to return to carnage). i put my sweetest EE in there the next day and kept them together for a week. i reintroduced her on Monday, and there has been no incident!! everyone is happy and getting along perfectly!

I'm so proud of myself that i managed that. i really thank all of you here for having so much great advice and info--i figured out how to handle it from BYC!

Good to hear how good an introduction goes rather than how bad it goes!
