Sucess with Hens First Eggs

Let's keep in touch, I do want some of your hatching eggs in the next year, I love your's colors and possibilities. Maybe by that time I'll have more than one blue egg layer laying, And my big boy ee's will have gotten interested in my super faithful laying gals, I am hoping to do some same color parings, since I have one SLWXAmeraucana roo and right now only 1 SLW hen

I will not be interbreeding any offspring from my hatches, I plan to keep a few hens, the roos there are from another bloodline entirely.

This hen came from a pullet egg, literally one of my girls first eggs. I put 7 eggs in the incubator that go round, and ended up with 2 chicks. I think she was worth the gamble. I figure, if I have room in the bator, why not? So, obviously, I also often put pullet eggs in. Sometimes I have good hatches from them, sometimes the effort is completely wasted. But, you won't know if you don't try! Good luck!
Yeppers definitely want some of your eggs this chicky makes me jealous that things didn't work out...LOL Definitely want to try for a couple blues from you

And I'm sorry for that :/
My chickens like to make a liar out of me. They had been laying so well, little boogers! I'll definitely keep in touch and I'll let you know when they pick back up again for sure. They usually lay really well during the winter, but we've had a snap of yucky weather here, and I think that may be why they went on strike. And, now that we've postponed, they'll probably start laying like crazy again :barnie

We kept 4 from our first hatch 4 completely different looking chicks, they are 1 wk & 4 days old now, hope we picked girls, we tried to feathet sex by the wings

Good luck! After moving everyone to their breeding pens, my fertility has been crappy. I'm sure the 5" of snow on the ground isn't helping either. Out of 25 eggs I set, only 8 are developing :(
