We are in the process of remodeling a shed and turning it into a coop for our 6 chickens. The whole shed is 12x8 but we are splitting it in half for some chicken storage and the other half is where the chickens will live (along with a run). In the chicken section of the building there will be 5 windows. 2 above the nest boxes, 2 on both sides of the chicken door and 1 window on the other side of the building. Is this too many windows?
Thank you

Not really, not usually.

In very, very cold-winter areas, you can run into frost->humidity->frostbite problems with too much uninsulated window area (although bubblewrap helps a bit). In hot summer areas (which is actually a substantial chunk o' the US) you can have trouble with excessive heat gain, BUT there are a lot of ways of dealing with that, ranging from more ventilation (including, but not necessarily limited to, having those windows open) to a healthy roof overhang to a shading 'porch' roof to staplegunning shadecloth or black plastic over the non-openable part of the windows.
