sudden death

    i found one of my girls lying on her back this morning when i went to let them out.There was no sign of injury and she is about 2 years old and appeared happy and healthy,I cannot understand what she has died of but what is really puzzling is that she was lying on her back with her legs in the air.how could she have ended up in this posistion/?anybody got any ideas/ thanks[​IMG]

    i get hens from an egg farm once or twice a year .. they usually have no feathers and are very weak and about half of them die within a month, they are what i consider badly abused at these farms and is acutally 1 of the main reasons i desided to raise chickens, but anyways i find them like that all the time, but im sure its not from the same reasons, just the position i have seen be for
