Sudden olive egger?

Today I got a beautiful olive colored egg. But I dont have any olive eggers. What happened? My two youngest are BLW and lay light brown/punk smaller eggs. All the others are at least two years old.

Gorgeous color! Wow! My OE lays a much lighter olive egg.
Can you post pictures of your ladies? Give us each of their ages and let us know what breed you believe they are. We may spot one that isn’t who she says she is.

Wow, that’s really weird, I’ve never heard of anything like that ever happening. I have also never seen an olive egg that dark.

Was she laying a different color egg before this one, or was she not laying at all before this? On my device, this egg looks almost black! Very cool.

jI don’t have many goo Photos but i have one welsumer and one marans -3 y/o, four easter eggers-2-3y/o, one RIR, one GSL, and two BLRW-1 y/o.

Started fermenting their feed again after about a six month break from it. But i always wet the food, it is a mash.

I dont know who layed it. Maybe marans?

The RIR and GSL are two years old.

Which is the blrw? I’m not seeing it on my phone. Maybe you could get a picture tomorrow? I’m thinking she could be the culprit. She’s young. It’s very dark olive. It could be her first egg. She might have a blue egg layer parent and a very dark chocolate brown laying parent and look a bit like a BLRW. I’d really like to see her up close not in a crowd.
Taking pictures of chickens is not easy but so much fun.
