Hi All,
I am new to this site and relatively new to keeping chickens. I have 3 hens, one of them is a Japanesse Bantam. We have been getting an egg a day from the 2 hens for the last 5 months or so and it is great, but the little bantam just started laying about 2 months ago... the most beautiful tiny little eggs.
Now, the problem is the little bantam now spends all of her time sitting inside the coop, in the nesting box.. but she hasn't laid in days. The other 2 like to go in one at a time to lay but now that the little one is inside all of the time, the others aren't laying as much either. Just got 1 egg yesterday, none today. If the do manage to lay, the little guy sits on their egg and won't budge. Is this normal behaviour? I wouls really appreciate your advice on this.. thanks so much
