Suddenly aggressive duck

My 10 month old female pekin duck has been getting more aggressive. She’s usually very sweet and doesn’t even aggressively bite, but the past few days she’s been going after fingers, toes, and people to bite them. She hasn’t laid an egg in about a week. Other than that, she’s eating normal and acting pretty normal. Any ideas why she’s behaving this way? And is there anything I can do to help her feel less stressed?

So I’m really new to ducks, in fact, I’ve only had them for two weeks. I’ve been trying to study them for a while though.
My first guess based on what I’ve read is that it could be seasonal. Not sure where you’re located, but apparently Spring brings attitude sometimes.
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable has some good insight.

Sounds like she might be imprinted on you and challenging for dominance. Simply do not put up with the biting if you want it to stop. Every time you get bit put her in a coop or crate alone for 20 minutes or so. Make sure you lock her up immediately after the bite so she will associate them.

Just throwing this out there- Is it possible she’s going into a molt? Our Silver Appleyard stopped laying and got very moody and standoffish a while back. I started panicking, thinking she was ill, only to come out one morning to a duck that looked like it went through a blender. I mean, there were feathers everywhere but on her body. She ended up having a very hard molt and wouldn’t let anyone, duck or human, near her for over a month. Didn’t lay for close to two months. All of our others are molting right now and it’s barely noticeable and hasn’t effected their laying or personalities. Ducks are weird.
