Suddenly blind, foamy eye

Okay, so about two weeks ago, a hen got a foamy eye, which, I had assumed was something in the eye. She's better now, but last night my turkey tom was acting weird. We discovered cateracts on both eyes. He seemed otherwise healthy. Today his eye is foamy. The only thing I can find is coryza, but nothing else sounds like coryza... Everyone else seems healthy, no sneezing, no discharge, just the cateracts and now the foamy eye. We just changed the bedding yesterday, which was the first time we did it with the birds still in the room. It's possible he got something in his eye, but the cateracts and the hen two weeks ago is making me question that. How much is testing just to rule out coryza and find out what it is?

Oh, it's not swollen, pink or anything. Same with the hen from two weeks ago. That's why I had assumed it was just a small foreign body.

Well, I stuffed a vitamin a pill down his throat. I'll have to call the cat's vet and see if she does, or knows anyone who does poultry.

Well, the next day he had no bubbles. He appears to be seeing better as well. Maybe it was a vitamin a deficiency. I'll be dosing him again tomorrow, since I forgot to do it today. I'm hoping to continue dosing him every three days.

Did your's ever have cataracts? Mine seems to be doing better, but the cataracts are still there. I know that vitamin A deficiency can cause them, and since he seems to be seeing better after a dose, it makes me believe it had something to do with it.
