I noticed one of my hens had wedged herself between a rock and the fence today and when I pulled her out she couldn't or wouldn't stand. I thought her wing is broken but I'm not so sure. She lays on her chest with her legs splayed behind her or to the side. But when I picked her up and looked her over she would hold up her head and doesn't have anything obviously wrong with her. I placed her in a nesting box and gave her a snack, which she ate.
I was going to cull her but I heard that some chickens can act paralysed after a trauma but will return to normal with a little time. Does anyone have any experience with this? She can wiggle and move if she's motivated to.
