Hi, I currently have one sick hen from our flock of 11... This is our first year with a flock so we are learning yet.
She was fine last night and seemingly okay this am when they were let out of the coop. She is usually SO friendly and greets you as you walk up
Her symptoms now:
-Yellow discharge, not thick, a little bit
- Can't stand/bare weight
- lethargic
- NOT eating or drinking
-gas/air bubble in chest that I can feel
- barely making noise, just muted little chirps

She just looks so sad...
We lost a chicken to a our neighbors dog last weekend so they went from free ranging 90% of the day to being back in their run this week...
I just cant lose another sweet girl :( ANY help is appreciated

I’d follow the protocols for a stuck egg..looks like egg yolk..she might have shards of shells in there..warm soaks w epsom, give some calcium and magnesium to relax muscles..

That does not look like egg yolk, it looks like yellow poop, which is common in sick birds.

She is too sick to soak, soaking her could kill her.
give some calcium and magnesium to relax muscles..
She should not be given any calcium until her hydration status is corrected. Calcium should not be given to dehydrated birds, and all sick birds are dehydrated.

Did you know that calcium helps with muscle contractions? It does not relax muscles.

Can you bring her inside and put her in a warm room?
I brought her inside in a large bin... shes currently in my bathroom. It is hot out today so i was worried that she wasnt eating or drinking. I've tried to hand feed her and syringe her some water but she still won't take any.

Do you want to learn how to tube feed? If so, the first thing she need is to be tubed fluids, lots of fluids.
