There's one roo in there that's a bit ornery. Doesn't put off my 7 yr. old any but he growls. It's hilarious. She holds him all the time and today she shared her rice crispy treat with him.

Buster's black Orp is Suede's son. I think that's the only one of Suede's kids that he owns. No, Gretchen, the Buffs are not from me. I have buff ladies, but no buff rooster.

Here's Suede and Velvet's boy - I call him Black Velvet. This is an old pic and he is MUCH larger now. I'll try and get a more recent pic soon.

ok... so Buster has a black orp.... in the eggs I hatched I got a black pullet and a blue pullet.

I forgot who Velvet was from....was it from Jim's Blue Orpington stock (WV)? If it is the case, then Jim's flock came from Gordie and Sandhill Preservation.

No, Velvet was from Julie. Skye is from Jim Cox and the two younger girls are from a different source. I miss that goofy Velvet.

Does Black Velvet has Suede's personality?????? I know some of his offsprings does and some do not but I certainly hope a bigger ratio of his sweet temperment would greater in numbers than not.

It seems to me that it is the males that have the attitude while his daughters are sweet!
