Suet Blocks for Treats?

I notice the feed stores sell Flock Blocks which are on the pricey side. I'm wondering if the store bought suet cakes sold for birds would be suitable for chickens?

No. The birds will love them, but it's all fat, not so useful for your birds, who I'm assuming are already well fed with a balanced chicken feed.
Normal feed, plus limited treats, work best. Gorging on fat, not so good.

Thanks Mary.. I suspected that would be the case but needed confirmation...
