Suggestion for book on Poultry Genetics

There is THE book--a gynourmo textbook which is way over my head. I will try to find it...

I have yet to find a "beginner" to "intermediate" book that is useful. Most don't say enough, or are completely without pictures/examples.

Genetics of Chicken Colours - The basics, is sold out worldwide. Currently no publisher is interested in a second edition. A Print on Demand service may be available in the near future, to register an interest email [email protected]

I'm more interested in the other aspects of breeding such as size, egg production, etc. The color genetics is very interesting but currently I'm working on the other traits.

Most of the more modern work on commercial aspects of fowl are carried out by large private firms and are both trademarked/patented and held as confidential/secret, thus little is available.
