I've been thinking about building a homemade hatcher. Looking for suggestions. I have two incubators that work great, but would like to use a hatcher.

Here is what I'm thinking.

Build a wooden box with hinged glass door. Add a couple of fans to move the air. Seal the wood with polyuethane.

Do you think using a heating element from a still air incubator and wafer would work to heat the box. Or what would you suggest?
Light bulbs?

I would like to be able to build one to hold 84 eggs.

Any suggestions.

Thanks!

Looks like you are on the right track. Just take it a step at a time. For the heating element I would go with what was easily available to me. Remember you will need a thermostat to control the temps and a method for humidity. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.
