Looks like pvc to me, and if it is, I would say it's too slippery. Use a large tree branch or better a 2x4 with large side up.

Thanks. Thought it would be easy to clean. But don't want them slipping off. Is that 2x4"? Seems wide. I will have OEGB in there so should the foot be able to wrap around the perch a little?

The foot doesn't have to wrap around and if you're in a cold climate the 2x4 with wide side up lets them keep their feet warmer when roosting.
