sulmet

thank you dawg for the reply i was beginning to think no one could see my post. looked at corid today but grabbed sulmet instead. i will give the older birds the sulmet and get some corid tommorow. thanks for the info dawg!

we know that we have pox. but! one of our oegb hens has bubbles in her eye that is not swollen shut.

Forget the corid, it only treats cocci. Sulmet treats 2 types of cocci, fowl cholera, coryza and pullorum. So you suspect coryza? It's possible that your bird may have scratched her eye and may have caused a secondary infection. Terramycin eye ointment could treat this. With coryza, there is normally a foul odor coming from the head and/or nostril area.
 
we are new to chickens. we are freaking out! dont really know what to do right now. i will get some pics on when my wife gets in from work. i am not real savvy on the puter. lol!
