Sultan Lovers... Got a ???

My Sultan pullet now has the full head "poof".. Today was the first real day since it filled in (oh so nicely I might add

) that I let everyone out to free range together.. Well she kept getting seperated from the pack. It was like she was blind. Seriously she would walk smack dab into the fence.. Once I would get her back with her "peeps" she was fine, but if they got away from her she would just walk lost in circles and cheep for them..

My husband threatened to "clip the feathers out of her eyes"..

Is this normal, is the "poof" making her blind???

This is normally especially for Sultans, Polish etc. Anything with a serious crest. Now, I would recommend cutting the feathers that are blocking her eyesight as this may cause some serious problems in the future with getting lost etc. You're doing her a favor so don't worry, I mean who would want to be blind all the time?
