Sultan or Slikie

I am looking for one female Silkie or Sultan chick to purchase to join my backyard chickens. My chicks will be here in two weeks (Tuesday, April 8, 2014) and I haven't found a breeder that has them for individual purchase. I've raised chicken's for a number of years but never a ornamental breed. My kids want to raise this one for a pet as well as show. If this is a bad idea please let me know. I live in the Minneapolis, MN Metro area.
