Hi everyone! So I currently have a flock of 12-- some born in April and some in March. One of my April babies is the rooster of the flock, a Sumatra, Sal. I have had one Sumatra hen before and remember her being one of my smallest, but I ordered Sal sexed as a rooster. Either way, he is the smallest of the flock right now, isn't showing any rooster behavior, and is smaller even than the Fayoumi hen, who is his same age. I don't see signs of spurs either, and by 12 to 14 weeks old, I am starting to wonder if he was sexed incorrectly. I know it's a little early to worry, but I still am hoping to see some sign of rooster behavior from him.
Anyone have any input on Sumatras and when I should expect to see some sign of him being male?
