is it ok for my chickens to sit on fertilized eggs and have them hatch chicks in the summer months...or is it too hot for them.

If you are lucky enough to have a broody hen, and also want her to raise a brood then you should be in seventh heaven.... this is truly the time of year to have her raise some babys!

A nice cool place with feed and water close to the nest is key for mom to get er done.

The cost of new chicks from hatcheries, makes this a win situation for you, if growing the flock size is what you need and want.

We have Llamas and cows, geese and chickens. Dogs, cockatiels & 1 turtle dove. We baled yesterday. It's all done! yippeee!
