Hi all! I just purchased some chicks that I believe are about a week old. I have them in my brooder I have raised all my previous chicks in except I haven't been using the lamp during the day of yesterday and today as it averages 89-90+ Fahrenheit here during the day and I'm worried they will cook, I have been using it over night though as the temp cools down. can I continue to do this and only using it when the temp drops at night or we have a cooler day? the place I got them from wasn't using a lamp at all

Thanks for the reply, I feel much better not using the lamp now. I usually for some silly reason end up with chicks in the cooler months, last time was in the middle of winter and it was such a pain!. so much better getting them in the warmer months.
