My girls always get at least a little wet in the rain so I'm worried about frostbite. I don't heat the coop (it has TONS of ventilation). The news is claiming the temperature is going to drop fast. Am I being a worry wort? Should I just keep them inside during the day so they dont get wet then literally freeze?

No, set it up so that they can choose to either be inside or outside. Well fed chickens produce a tremendous heat. They will dry off in no time at all when they go to roost. Even when they look soaked, they are generally dry underneath.

Chickens know more about being chickens and what they should do than people do. As long as they are not LOCKED outside, they will go in and out as needed.

X2!

And chickens know that the best worms come out when it rains!
