Finally the sun decided to come out and brighten up these cold cement colored Michigan skies. I managed to coax some of the hens outside for some treats and snapped some pictures.

This one didn't seem to mind the snow much at all.

These girls stuck around the feed I put out, just long enough to take a picture or two and then they were gone, headed back to the coop.

And this one, I named "Sunrise" is always around the pigs. She cleans up the extra feed they don't eat. I found her inside the pen yesterday, and the pigs never bothered her in the least. When I reached into the pen and took her out, she didn't seem very happy with me.

Pretty ladies, Steve. I just smile every time I see a pic of the backside of an Orpington...they definitely have some junk in da trunk!

Looks like Sunrise is one smart chick...she knows where to get the grub!

Edited to ask: I just took a second look at that hen...IS it an Orpington? or does she just possess the derrier of one?

Looks like Sunrise is an opportunist! Smart girl. Pretty area, even with all that snow, which I envy. I am really impressed with your nice clean operation there!
