I've been wanting to build something like this for a while and finally got around to it. I used a collection of photos from this website and the internet to help in the design. the trays slide out for easy cleaning. I fill them with sand and stall dry and scoop them out with a litter scoop. This system also helps my duck (who sleeps on the ground under the roosts) from being pooped on.
