Super Newbie

I am thrilled to be starting my flock this weekend after a ton of research by both myself and my husband. We’ve been in our forever farm house for almost a year and We are ready to get growing. My amazing and supportive husband is building my brooding box tomorrow and I hope to move some chicks in on Sunday. I was not prepared to hatch my own so I’ll be going to a local feed store for my little ones.
I have a two year old who is equally as excited to be starting our flock and I’m excited to share this learning experience with her and teach her along the way.
We are very open to suggestions and tips or tricks and I’m so happy to have found this site because I’ve already learned so much. I’ve borrowed ideas and modified or changed some of my plans because of better things I’ve seen here. Thank you in advance for all the help!

x2 on what @DobieLover said about a coop being ready! Chicks outgrow most brooders fairly fast and will need their "adult" home quickly.
