Thanks for the compliment Beesong, I try to be helpful to new Guinea owners whenever I can. As I was new to Guineas I had a lot of nice people help me out and help me learn everything I needed to know about these crazy quirky birds, so I am just paying it forward, so to speak.
My Keet Care Info pages that I include with all my keet sales (if the buyers need it) mostly just cover all the basics from the time the keets are a few days old all the way up to the age that the Guineas will start breeding and laying eggs, with a few helpful tips/suggestions added in that I've learned along my Guinea raising/breeding journey. I typed the pages up because I care about all of these little birds I've hatched and raised, so it's in their best interest that I try to make sure they will get well taken care of. It weighs heavy on my conscience whenever I hear back from someone that I've sold keets or adults to and they are telling me that they only have 1 or 2 birds left for whatever reason... and had I told them about this or that and all the what-ifs regarding Guineas it might have been prevented the death of those particular birds, I always feel so guilty, like it's my fault, even tho it really isn't. I've learned the hard way not everyone that wants Guineas is aware of (or understands) the feed, care and housing needs or the behavioral differences between Guineas and other kinds of poultry, so I try to make sure that everyone I sell keets or Guineas to knows exactly what they are getting themselves into before they leave my ranch with a box, cage or crate full of birds, lol. And since it's impossible to cover all the basics in a 20 minute conversation while catching keets (and boxing them up/putting them in a cage or crate), I typed up as much information as I could covering the basics plus all the specific things I get asked about a lot.
And no, I don't sell copies of my Keet Care Info pages (is that even legal? lol)... but if you want to make a trip this direction and buy a few keets from me, you can have a copy, lol
