Crowing
My hen, otherwise healthy, had a partial impaction of her crop for a week before having crop surgery by a vet. Vet pulled out a compacted pile of straw and hair. Yes, hair. We're now ten days out from surgery. She looks and acts well, stool is normal, and laying normally. However, her crop has yet to ever be empty by morning. I tried fasting her for 24 hours and while it was mostly down, still not fully. At that time, the crop felt almost "wrinkly" at the bottom, like a deflated bouncy ball, with some grit I could feel. I thought maybe it's somewhat pendelous?
However, the vet said to give her normal pelletesd food right after surgery but in small amounts several times a day. I was hesitant so gave her watered down pellets or soft foods like yogurt and pumpkin or raw egg for several days. Then I gave her small amount of crumbles. Again, the crop goes down throughout the day and night but not fully. I could feel some food left in it in the morning, not the deflated ball feeling.
I let her have a "regular" sized pelleted meal yesterday at about 6 pm. She was pooping until bedtime but then ZERO poop all night long and her crop is mostly full in the morning, first thing. (5 am). About an hour later, a large poop, followed by normal poop today but again, super slow crop movement.
She had a fecal, no worms.
Advice? I'm tempted to let her out in the run ( not free range yet) and just keep the small meals of dry pellets for a while?
Could this just be her healing still from surgery or nothing else likely at play?

She's on Nystatin now for the yeast infection but vet said that takes 5-7 days just to start taking effect.
