One of my favorite hens laid on the porch yesterday morning in bad shape, she is so weak she cannot stand, she wont eat or drink. I have been syringing water with electrolytes down her all day with no improvement. I assumed she would not make it through the night but this morning she is still breathing. There is no improvement. Any suggestions? She is a pet, she is about 19 weeks old, no mites, Cochin mix, I can't seem to keep weight on any of my chickens...but she is skin and bones. I would really really love to save her, my 12 yr old is heart broken (this is one of the first chicks we hatched ourselves). I am posting this everywhere I can think of to get the maximum help.
