The website is still up and running, and says they are taking orders for all the breeds listed....? What's up with that?

An effort is being made to put as many birds as possible in the hands of serious breeders. Anyone serious about keeping these lines going can, or already did, buy before the auctions. Asking prices are very reasonable. I'm sure the dispersal could have been run in a more cost effective way if there was no effort made to keep the remaining stock in the gene pool. Tom

BTW-one of the auctions in question is run by a poultry club to raise money to run one of the best shows in NY. The "BIG MONEY" Roland makes for being the Auctioneer there is reimbursement for his gas-he donates his time.

I would love to be able to help, but in light of a number of changes pending here (not the least of which is my older daughter going off to college), I am actually downsizing this year. I'm getting out of Dutch in fact.

I will still have Buckeyes in large fowl and bantam, but that's it. No other breeds of poultry. Just can't do it. So although I'd love to help, just can't.

Frankly, I am uncomfortable with the whole thread. I feel strongly that no one's reputation should be bruited about in this fashion in a public forum, not Danny's nor anyone else's. It's really none of our business, now is it? I wish this thread would be deleted. Perhaps we should ask that it be removed.
