3 hens are 25 weeks old and no eggs yet. BR, EE, Welsummer. We are in the Bay Area and daylight lasting just under 12 hours now. Is it better to let them mature naturally and get eggs in the spring? Will I just get little eggs now if it is more light they need? Thanks!

Light won't affect the first year of laying, they should start soon and will lay until next fall at their own personal pace. You can't stop it. They will start laying smaller eggs and they will slowly enlarge until they reach the size they will be.
