Supplemental Feeding w/ Imperfect Pumpkins

My son gleaned a field of some of its pumpkins left behind due to defects. Will take birds about a month to eat all that. They will still have free-choice access to a nutritionally complete feed.

I would think the seeds would be most of the nutrition in a pumpkin. Is that correct?

There are also carbohydrates, vitamins and moisture. They eat most of the fruit.

Same here. We are currently feeding out about 20 pounds per day. All the chickens have continuously distended crops during day and no interest in water. They no longer targeting seeds in early parts of consumption process although seeds still eaten.
