Support for Mr Clucky!

Mark Buckley of Miami Beach, FL has been keeping a handsome white rooster named Mr Clucky in his condo there. They're well known in the area because Mark takes Mr Clucky around town riding on the handlebars of his bicycle, in addition to being part of rallies for better treatment for animals. Mr Clucky was even chosen to be grand marshall of a local parade in Miami.

Now someone has complained to the city and they're saying Mr Clucky cannot stay because he is a farm animal. It's not the noise issue, since Mark keeps his roo confined so he won't crow early in the morning. But simply because the city ordinances say that farm animals are not allowed in Miami Beach.

I used to live there, and there are plenty of people that own roosters and nobody ever complained about their crowing

They're saying the rooster isn't being evicted because of his noise, but because he's a "farm animal" and it's against city code. If you go to his website & see the way he is being kept, and how he is handled, and how well he behaves, you'll realize this particular rooster should be considered an exotic bird and not a farm animal, and an exception should be made for him at least. Take a minute to add a message of support for Mr Clucky on his website.
