Thanks for the tip. They are in an enclosed fenced in area right off the back of my house. The “run” underneath the coop is hardware cloth. Their main run is chicken wire only.Apart from all the cockerels, chicken wire does NOT protect them from predators. The gold standard of fencing is 1/2" hardware cloth. Raccoons cannot bite through it, or reach in and snag chicken parts to bite off. And no, I do not have stock in Hardware cloth sales or production.
